3. Magnesium
The most common modern application for supplemental magnesium — and magnesium bisglycinate in particular — has been in the area of sleep improvement. Because it relaxes muscles and lowers core body temperature to sleep-conducive levels, magnesium has acquired tremendous momentum as a bedtime sleep aide.
As it turns out, magnesium also scores well as a mineral that can reduce symptoms of depression.
