top fat burners

For the newly health conscious, the decision to start living a healthy lifestyle can be daunting. While diet and exercise are essential for healthy living, there is more you can do. Fat burners are an effective supplement to burn fat and boost weight loss. When taken in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise, fat burners can take your weight loss to the next level.

Choosing the best fat burner can make or break your weight loss journey. Transparent Labs only uses ingredients that have been clinically tested and are proven to promote weight loss. For more information on our products, check out our website: Transparent Labs - Fat Burners.

This article describes a few effective fat burning ingredients and describes how they work to help you lose unwanted weight.

It’s important to note that while fat burners are effective, they aren’t a replacement for a healthy diet and exercise. They can’t burn fat on their own. In order to see results you’ll need to eat a healthy, and balanced diet and exercise regularly.

Total Daily Energy Expenditure

An effective way to measure your progress is through regular calculations of your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE), an estimate of your calories burned per day. A TDEE calculator will first use your gender, age, weight, and height to calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). Then, your BMR is multiplied by an activity factor.

Because a large part of calculating TDEE is measuring your level of physical activity, the calculations will only be effective—and your progress will only be noticeable—when exercise is taken into account.

Basal Metabolic Rate

Your basal metabolic rate refers to the amount of calories necessary for your body to simply perform it’s necessary functions to keep your organs working. Calculating BMR does not take into account any physical activity on your part. So, it is essentially what your body needs when you do nothing. Hence, its alternate name, Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR).

Weight gain and weight loss occur when the body consumes more or less calories than it needs, respectively. When you know your BMR, you can reduce your daily caloric intake as needed to lose weight.

The majority of your weight loss will come from your diet. Lowering your caloric intake is crucial to burning fat. If you’re trying to lose weight, a healthy diet should be your top priority. Exercise and fat burners will give you an extra boost to shed your fat, but using fat burners alone will not produce any significant results.

When taken correctly, fat burners can help increase your BMR significantly. A recent study found that a single dose of a thermogenic fat loss supplement (fat burner) significantly increased participants’ basal metabolic rate compared to baseline measurements. The researchers also noted that thermogenic supplements may also help increase energy expenditure and fat oxidation without adverse effects.

Fat burners increase the amount of calories your body burns at rest by promoting the processes of thermogenesis (burning calories to produce heat) and lipolysis (breaking down lipids).

It is important to note that for optimal results, fat burners should be taken in the proper dosages to avoid adverse effects. Always refer to the product labels to find the correct dosage.

Calories and Macronutrients

calories and macronutrients

Macronutrients (macros) are molecules that give our body energy. The three macros are fats, protein, and carbohydrates. While they are found in all foods, the amount of each macronutrient across food types differ.

When following a weight loss diet, counting calories and macros are equally important. While watching calories will help you know how much to eat, watching macros will help you know what to eat. For example, consuming 100 calories from a serving of cake and 100 calories from a banana will not have similar effects on your body. Use our calorie and macro calculator to find personalized recommendations that will help you hit your weight loss goals.

There are 3 ways to effectively lose weight:

  1. Increase your metabolism
  2. Curb hunger cravings
  3. Live a weight loss lifestyle

The top fat burners discussed in this article contain ingredients that work to increase your metabolism and curb hunger cravings. If taken as recommended with a balanced diet, they will lead to a healthy weight loss lifestyle.

There are 6 ingredients commonly found in fat burners, all of which are safe and effective and can be found in all of Transparent Labs’ products.

6 top fat burners for weight loss diagram

1. Green Tea Extract

Green tea extract contains a variety of components that assist in boosting metabolism. Possibly the most effective of these is epigallocatechin gallate or EGCG. EGCG decreases fat synthesis, increases the breakdown of fat, and maximizes your body's utilization of glucose.

Green tea also contains antioxidants known as catechins. Catechins assist in blocking out an enzyme that attacks adrenaline and noradrenaline which are responsible for moving fat stores and boosting your metabolism. This is because the higher your adrenaline and noradrenaline, the higher your heart rate and body temperature. This way, your body burns calories faster.

As one of the most natural fat burners, green tea helps shed abdominal fat loss to increase triglyceride levels.

2. Caffeine

Although caffeine has a bad reputation, caffeine anhydrous (the pure form of caffeine) is an effective fat burner. Caffeine works to burn fat in multiple ways.

First, caffeine boosts your metabolism. In fact, caffeine can boost your caloric burn by as much as 150 kcal per day.

Caffeine also provides an energy boost which is particularly useful before a workout. The more energy you burn throughout your workout, the more fat you will lose.

Finally, caffeine decreases the rate at which glucose is metabolized during an aerobic workout. This means that your body will take longer to tire, and you will burn more fat.

The downside of using caffeine as a fat burner is that if it is overused, your body will become accustomed to it and it will lose its effectiveness. It is important to take breaks every other week to achieve optimal results.

3. Forskolin

While Forskolin is still relatively new, initial studies show positive results. In a study posted by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, it was found that Forskolin caused “favorable changes in body composition by significantly decreasing body fat percentage” and increasing lean muscle.

The study also found that Forskolin increased bone mass and testosterone levels in overweight men. This is significant because testosterone is important in maintaining muscle mass, as well as increasing your caloric burn.

4. 5-HTP

When taken with Griffonia Simplicifolia, 5-HTP produces serotonin which has several weight loss related benefits. 5-HTP also reduces hunger cravings and subsequently lead to reduced body mass and belly fat.

The International Journal of Obesity published a study in which 27 overweight women were divided randomly into two groups. The first group was given 5-HTP natural plant extracts, while the second group was given a placebo. The study showed a significant increase in satiety of participants who received 5-HTP over an 8-week period.

Some studies have also shown that 5-HTP assists indirectly with weight loss by increasing serotonin levels and melatonin production. Increased serotonin reduces the risk of anxiety and depression, which may lead to overeating. Increased melatonin production leads to a healthier sleep schedule, allowing your body to function properly.

5. L-Tyrosine

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid responsible for creating adrenaline and noradrenaline (which, as previously mentioned, boosts your metabolism and moves fat stores). L-Tyrosine has been shown to increase thermogenesis. Thermogenesis is the process of burning calories to produce heat. Because thermogenesis burns calories, it naturally leads to weight loss.

L-Tyrosine has also been known to correlate with increased dopamine, which reduces anxiety and helps prevent weight gain.

In combination with the supplement ephedra, l-tyrosine has been known to reduce hunger cravings, However, l-tyrosine on its own does not seem to have this effect.

6. L-Theanine

L-Theanine is also an amino acid and is commonly found in green tea alongside EGCG. Theanine tends to indirectly promote weight loss.

L-theanine lowers cortisol levels, which reduces anxiety. Anxiety tends to lead to unhealthy habits such as overeating and insomnia. Overeating can be a big setback for someone trying to lose weight and sleep deprivation also slows down the weight loss process. By reducing anxiety, L-theanine can assist people in avoiding these unhealthy behaviors and living a healthy lifestyle.

Get Fast Results

Each of these ingredients are only effective when the three weight loss methods are in play (increasing your metabolism, curbing hunger cravings, and living a weight loss lifestyle). When properly applied to a healthy diet, significant results can be achieved.
