Key Ingredients

Our formulas are made with clean, natural ingredients, with clinically-validated dosages to support health and performance.

Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) 2:1:1

8,000 mg

BCAAs are a group of essential amino acids that promote muscle protein synthesis, reduce muscle soreness, enhance performance, and support recovery during and after intense workouts.

Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) 2:1:1

L-Glutamine

5,000 mg

A conditionally essential amino acid that aids muscle recovery, boosts immune function, and replenishes depleted glutamine stores.

L-Glutamine

Vitamin C

1,500 mg

A powerful antioxidant that supports recovery by mitigating exercise-induced inflammation.

Vitamin C

Coconut Water Powder

1,000 mg

As a natural source of electrolytes like potassium and magnesium, coconut water promotes hydration and replenishes essential minerals lost during intense workouts.

Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) 2:1:1

8,000 mg

Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) are a group of three essential amino acids—L-leucine, L-isoleucine, and L-valine—that play an integral role in muscle protein synthesis, the process by which cells create new muscle proteins (which is necessary for muscle recovery and hypertrophy). While there are nine essential amino acids, L-leucine is widely regarded as the “master regulator” of protein synthesis [1].

Supplementing with a 2:1:1 ratio of BCAAs (leucine: isoleucine:valine) post-workout can mitigate the severity of delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and decrease muscle damage markers, such as creatine kinase [2]. Further evidence indicates that BCAA supplementation may improve endurance and muscle strength by reducing rates of perceived exertion and increasing lactate thresholds during exercise [3, 4].

Additionally, BCAAs can help protect against muscle protein breakdown during weight-loss phases [5, 6].

Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs) 2:1:1

L-Glutamine

5,000 mg

L-glutamine is the most abundant free amino acid in human muscle and plasma; however, it is a conditionally essential amino acid for active gym-goers and athletes since intense and long-duration exercise can deplete glutamine stores in the body [7].

Studies show that glutamine supplementation helps improve muscle glycogen synthesis, gut health, and immune function in active individuals, making it useful for muscle recovery and performance [8, 9, 10]. Research has shown that glutamine also plays a key role in protein synthesis despite being a non-essential amino acid [11].

L-Glutamine

Vitamin C

1,500 mg

Exercise may produce higher amounts of inflammation than the body’s natural antioxidant capabilities can counteract, leading to tissue damage and reduced muscle contractility

Vitamin C has also been shown to help combat the oxidative stress and inflammatory response to exercise, supporting faster recovery [12, 13]

Vitamin C

Coconut Water Powder

1,000 mg

Coconut water is one of Mother Nature’s most dense sources of electrolytes and trace minerals.

Coconut water powder removes the sugary and fatty constituents of coconut water while retaining the essential electrolyte micronutrients, such as magnesium, potassium, phosphorus, and sodium. Due to its abundant electrolyte profile, coconut water can rapidly rehydrate after intense exercise, making it ideal for pre-, intra-, and post-workout supplementation [14].

Not sure if it works, but the after taste is awful...

Unfortunately, I went against my instincts and bought a flavored Glutamine instead of my usual non-flavored other brand. Big MISTAKE... the aftertaste from the sweetener is awful tasting, not sure what else to say. Can't tell you if the product actually works well or not, because I won't be drinking it.

Premature Review on BCAA Glutamine

Just started using this product about a week ago and will reserve judgement until I complete a month in an effort to aggregate my experience from a decent sample size. However, I can confirm that consuming the Strawberry Lemonade version of this product is difficult to taste. I simply down it as quickly as possible with something to chase it with to minimize the terrible taste in my mouth. I'm not one to really care about having a multitude of flavors to choose from; which I feel TL markets as a nice competitive advantage versus its competitors. I would much more appreciate a narrower focus on flavors with the goal of improving taste for consumption in my opinion. I'm not sure I can continue to use this product and may default to my previous brand if necessary. I'm just asking for something neutral and tolerable with respect to taste and I would consider being a loyal customer because I do recognize that TL products typically meet the needs of their customers.

Overall a strong product

While the taste is not the greatest (I chose strwbry lemonade) the results are unarguably present for me in my journey with this product thus far. Regardless of taste, this stuff works - it does exactly what it says it will do. I’m about halfway thru my first container, and in the first week of taking one scoop immediately after my workout, I noticed 2 key benefits: 1) reduced soreness - I no longer experienced that lactic acid “burn” when my muscles are sore from progressive overload. 2) much quicker recovery time - I’ve noticed my recovery times have advanced 1 to 2 days since starting this product.
I’m 43 years old, so decreased soreness and improved recovery time is crucial to realizing gains for me at this point in my life.
In summary, I believe this product delivers solid results for the cost, and I would recommend it to anyone trying to decrease soreness, speed up recovery times, and be most fit version of yourself possible.

Enhanced Recovery Times

Hands-down, the best glutamine supplement I’ve ever used. It does taste on the sour side, but the drastically reduced recovery times considering I’m in my mid 30s. I’ll take that any day of the week and it’s not too bad..

Frequently Asked
Questions

What are BCAAs?

BCAA supplements typically provide three essential amino acids known as branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) in their  “free form” (hence, they are rapidly absorbed). The body cannot produce essential amino acids (including BCAAs) on its own, so we must obtain them regularly via whole foods and/or nutritional supplements.

When is the best time of day to take BCAAs?

Ideally, BCAA powder should be consumed before, during, or immediately after workouts to maximize muscle repair and mitigate exercise-induced muscle soreness. BCAAs are rapidly absorbed and easy on the stomach, so consuming BCAAs during workouts won't leave you feeling heavy like many protein shakes/ supplements. .

How do BCAAs compare to creatine?

BCAAs and creatine are both popular, but they serve different purposes. BCAAs—leucine, isoleucine, and valine—are essential amino acids that help stimulate muscle protein synthesis, reduce muscle soreness, and prevent muscle breakdown, especially during endurance training, fasted workouts, or calorie deficits. BCAAs can be useful during intense training phases. Creatine, on the other hand, is a naturally occurring compound that helps regenerate ATP, the body’s primary energy source during short, high-intensity movements like lifting or sprinting.

Can I take BCAA powder with a protein shake?

Yes, many individuals  take BCAAs with protein powder, but it’s not always necessary. Most high-quality protein powders already contain all the essential amino acids, including BCAAs (especially leucine, which is key for muscle protein synthesis).

However, it is advisable to  take BCAAs during an intense training block or while training fasted to help accelerate muscle protein synthesis and  reduce muscle breakdown and fatigue.

Is it ok to take BCAAs every day?

Yes, taking up to 20 grams of BCAAs daily in divided doses (~5-10 g per dose) is considered safe. However, BCAAs are not intended as a sole source of nutrition and will not offset a lack of protein in the diet.
