I would generally never post a review, but feel this one i need to.
Silicone Dioxide as someone pointed out as BEWARE. If you look at everything a person consumes we will always find something to give our head a shake and wonder.
Silicone Dioxide is in many other foods we eat and why are we not holding up signs and marching.........??
Before passing judgement over something that they read on the internet please take some time and read about the item.
I paid the same price for the old packaging (tub) which had 40 servings. This is now individually packaged however the same price for 10 less servings. Sure it’s convenient for those on the go. I know it costs more to individually package. But give those who workout at home the option to get the tub with more servings.

I was surprised by that because I think Transparent Labs is a trust worthy company. I just started getting their protein and I think it’s phenomenal. So I hope they will read this and consider removing this ingredient from the formula.

Silicon dioxide is used as an anti-caking agent to prevent ingredients in powdered form from clumping due to moisture.
The problem with this additive is that it can contain nanoparticles, which are tiny molecules (less than 100 nanometers). Because of their composition and their ability to transform when they come in with other substances (blood, saliva, etc.), the effects of nanoparticles on humans can vary and are difficult to evaluate. They can cross the intestinal barrier and reach secondary target organs, like the heart or kidneys, where they can accumulate.
Nanoparticles can induce oxidative stress in certain intestinal cells and alter their composition.
Moreover, another study conducted on mice showed that silicon dioxide nanoparticles may damage kidney tissue and impair liver function.
In its 2019 reevaluation, EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) concluded that a clear characterization of particle size distribution was required. It reported a lack of sufficient data on this additive and also recommended chronic toxicity studies that would take into account the presence of a nanoscale fraction of particles in the additive.
I really wanted to like this product. I have been looking for an electrolyte powder that is made up of quality ingredients, has more than just the three main minerals, and the company is solid. I do love this company and what they stand for as well as the quality of the many minerals included. I love that it is third party tested. My complaint is the taste. I got the strawberry and it tastes medicinal. I can't stand it on its own and have to use small amounts mixed with juice or something else. I wish I could try another flavor, but I am afraid of the same result.
Very tasty stuff. I really enjoy it. I use it after all of my runs and workouts. While I’m drinking it I can’t get enough of it. Aside from the taste I just feel it gives me an overall boost in my recovery.
