Curcumin C3® Complex is a patented herbal extract obtained from the dried rhizomes of Curcuma longa (turmeric) and standardized to contain 95% bioactive curcumin, bisdemethoxycurcumin, and demethoxycurcumin - collectively referred to as “curcuminoids”. 

The trick when it comes to curcumin supplements and turmeric extract is that curcuminoids are generally not well-absorbed orally, resulting in minimal benefit (if any at all).[1]

 This is precisely where Curcumin C3® Complex shines, as it exhibits vastly superior absorption and upwards of 200x greater bioavailability than generic curcumin/turmeric extract formulas.[2]

Clinical evidence suggests that curcuminoids have ubiquitous roles in the body, affecting vital biological processes such as immune function, detoxification, metabolism, stress response, neuroplasticity, joint integrity, digestion, and much more.[3]

For example, a recent double-blind, placebo-controlled trial found that subjects taking Curcumin C3® Complex (500 mg b.i.d.) for 8 weeks had significantly greater reductions in serum concentrations of proinflammatory cytokines compared to those taking a placebo.[4]

These results are congruent with the findings of a recent meta-analysis of the anti-inflammatory actions of curcumin in clinical studies.[5]

FruiteX-B® is a patented boron-based mineral supplement (calcium fructoborate) that acts as a superoxide ion scavenger and anti-inflammatory agent.[6] 

A growing body of peer-reviewed, published clinical research indicates that the calcium fructoborate significantly reduces serum levels of the C-reactive protein in humans, suggesting that this unique plant–mineral complex may contribute to bone health by controlling the inflammation associated with loss of bone mineral density and osteoarthritis.[7],[8]

Further evidence suggests that calcium fructoborate has beneficial effects on blood lipid profiles and cardiovascular function.[9]

Boswellin® Super is the industry’s most potent standardized extract of Boswellia serrata (Frankincense), containing 30% acetyl-11-β-boswellic acid (AKBBA) as well as anti-inflammatory triterpenoids. The phytochemicals in Boswellin® Super actively inhibit the actions of pro-inflammatory molecules, notably 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO), human leukocyte elastase (HLE), cathepsin G (catG), and acetylcholinesterase (AChE).[10],[11]

In fact, multiple clinical studies have shown that Boswellin® significantly reduces blood biomarkers of inflammation, resulting in improvement in joint pain and function.[12]

UC-II® is patented undenatured type-II collagen - the single most abundant protein found in joint cartilage. While there are many types of collagen, type-II collagen in particular is crucial for supporting the function and integrity of joint-related connective tissues. Research shows that collagen production drops by about 25% at the age of 40; by the age of 60, it falls to 50%.[13]

There is a growing body of clinical evidence showing the promising benefits of undenatured type-II collagen peptides (specifically UC-II®) for bolstering joint integrity, as well as alleviating joint pain and increasing range of motion/flexibility in joints.[14]
